Not the Beginning

Hello! Though this is my first official blog entry, I assure you, this posting is not the beginning. So much there is to share, so much I have to say, and so wasted would it be were I unwilling to make available, this unique, blessed, and painfully beautiful journey of the life we lead.

I can take no credit for the amazing story that I intend to allow this blog to unfold before you. No, I am not the author. I merely get to be the narrator and participant of the novel unfolding even still as I type, written by One far greater than I could ever hope to be. I hope you will come along for the ride. I truly believe that our journey, compared to every other journey carries a shared trait... it is unique and unrepeated anywhere by anyone. All of us are journeymen of life and all of us unique in the unfoldings of the path we are carried down.

So why share our journey? Simple really.... BECAUSE it is unique. Something in our journey is different from any other. Our joys and celebrations, our pains and devastations, similar in so many ways to millions of others, but somehow all our own and because of that, it is worthy of sharing. The gift of this life is learning from the journeys around us while still existing in the very midst of our own.

A friend said something so simple today that very well could be a new turn in the path I journey on with my family and because of that simple statement, I have begun yet another quest.... this blog. One I didn't seek out, but yet one that I believe the Author of the journey revealed through the simple request of a friend. Tonight I sit here, writing to you (yes you, though I know not for certain exactly who the "you" may be) because I was encouraged to use this avenue to do what I love to do most.... journal the journey for whomever wants to walk alongside as I do.

Thank you for joining me. I do have much to do. Much to share. Much to bring you into in order to understand where it is the journey is today. I foresee hours of sitting and writing to you, posting pictures to give vision to the words I share, and tears upon tears, as I live and relive the "Ties of Grace" that has bound my family together into our very own gently scarred tapestry of colorful life.

My hope is that you will not see our story as something I find grand and noteworthy. Rather, my hope is that you will see our story as a journey touched by something far more grand and noteworthy than we can comprehend! You are here for a reason and I trust as you read on, you will dive into viewing your own journey, your own tapestry in the making, and see that though different than mine, the Author is just as grand and your passage just as important and meaningful... if only you allow the Creator of that passage to lead you on! I can't wait for all we will share........
